Welcome to the place where I share my ideas.
I'm a data-driven economist dedicated to sharing my knowledge and insights about the rapidly changing role of data within our economy. I combine my knowledge of economics and data to gain deeper insights into systems and promote data-driven decision-making. This website is my way of sharing my insights and projects on topics that I think are worth a closer look.
Topics you can read about on this website:
- The exponential growth of data and how it can change society
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Concerns about privacy, security and ethicality
- How governments can deal with rapid innovation
- The use of data in research

My thoughts: a world of data
Data is becoming increasingly vital for shaping the future. In a world where information is generated at an exponential rate, organizations must leverage data to stay ahead of the curve and make informed decisions. The ability to collect, store, and analyze large amounts of data has opened up new possibilities for innovation, creating new industries and transforming existing ones.
Data is also changing the way we live our lives. From healthcare to education, data is being used to improve services and create more personalized experiences. In the future, data will continue to play a crucial role in driving progress and solving complex global challenges.
However, as the use of data expands, it is also important to ensure that it is used correctly. The privacy and security of data must be protected, and individuals must have control over their own information. The responsible use of data will be crucial for ensuring that its potential is fully realized and that its benefits are shared by everyone.

“Data are just summaries of thousands of stories—tell a few of those stories to help make the data meaningful.”
~ Dan Heath
The most important thing standing between raw data and insight is the context surrounding the data. Without the story or information behind the data there are two options:
- No definitive conclusions can be drawn from the data
- Or worse, the wrong conclusion are drawn due to faulty design
